L. Managadze National Center of Urology
Georgia's first and only dedicated urology center, providing specialized urological and nephrological care to adult and pediatric patients since 1959.
About the Center
L. Managadze National Center of Urology is Georgia's first and only specialized clinical, scientific, and educational institution dedicated to urology. Founded in 1959, the center has spent over six decades focused exclusively on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of urological and nephrological disease.
Unlike general multidisciplinary hospitals, the center treats both adult and pediatric patients under one roof — a distinction it holds uniquely in Georgia. It is located in Tbilisi's historic Avlabari district, on the grounds of the former City Hospital No. 1.
Approach to Care
The center's model centers on deep specialization rather than breadth: a single institution built entirely around urological and nephrological disease, supported by in-house diagnostics, surgical services, and a dedicated lithotripsy program.
- A team of 50+ specialists spanning urology, uro-oncology, pediatric urology, transplantology, nephrology, and diagnostic radiology
- One of the few centers in Georgia treating both adult and pediatric urology patients
- In-house diagnostics — imaging, lab, urodynamics, pathology — integrated with treatment on the same campus
- Ongoing physician training abroad and participation in international medical conferences
